Hi! I'm Michelle Velez Henderson, Founder of Michelle Velez Events!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself...

I ran the events for the Town of Griffith for the past 6 years. From booking bands and vendors, creating contracts, vendor layouts, ordering ice, selling tickets, moving porta potties, setting up fencing, pouring beer, coordinating workers, trouble shooting electric problems, you name it, I did it.

On December 25, 2021, I got engaged! I then decided that I wanted my wedding to be in August of 2022 leaving me with about 7-8 months to plan. No big deal, right?

With my experience in planning and coordinating, I knew that planning my own wedding would be the most fun and easy thing to do and let me tell you, it absolutely was. I know that with planning any major festival or event comes a lot of stress, but fortunately for me, this was the easiest thing I've ever done. The past 6 years of major festival and event planning, and my education made it a seemingly fun and an easy process.

After having my dream wedding, I decided that I wanted to take my skills and experience to the next level offering services to all!

After resigning from my position, I created Michelle Velez Events which can service your any needs! To say that this was the best decision I've ever made would be an understatement.

-Former Activities Director for the Town of Griffith. (Griffith Central Market, Broad Street Blues and BBQ Festival, Symphony in the Park, Rock N Rail Music & Street Festival, Oktoberfest) 2015-2022
